3 U.S. Teens Lose Appeal in Fatal Stone-Droppings

Germany’s highest criminal court said it has thrown out an appeal by three sons of U.S. military personnel. The three were convicted of murdering two women and injuring four people by dropping stones onto their vehicles from a highway overpass.
In December, a court in Darmstadt sentenced two of the Americans, then 18, to 8 1/2 years and eight years. The youngest, then 15, was given seven years.
