Police at the Mexican border arrested two people suspected of killing an 18-year-old Ontario man and stealing his sport-utility vehicle.
The body of Jesus Sanchez was found on a dusty road in Ontario’s agriculture preserve Tuesday. He had been shot in the head.
U.S. customs agents stopped Sanchez’s Ford Expedition at the San Ysidro border crossing at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Albert Carlos Mendez, 20, and Mayra Grisel Fabela, 22, both of Ontario, were taken to Rancho Cucamonga for booking. Police said they found a gun in the SUV.
