Irvine Is the Site for Gravity Games

Palace Park Skatepark in Irvine will host 150 skateboarders and 60 bikers today and Sunday for the Gravity Games’ Airwalk Amateur Challenge.

Freestyle competition will take place in open and beginner divisions, with winners of the open divisions receiving a trip for two to the 2001 Summer Gravity Games, Sept. 1-9, in Providence, R.I.

Competition begins at 9 a.m. today and 10 a.m. Sunday.
