Embassy Attacked Before Putin's Arrival

Unidentified attackers threw a hand grenade into the compound of the Russian Embassy in Minsk, Belarus, hours before Russian President Vladimir V. Putin was to arrive for a summit, Belarussian officials said.

No one was hurt, an official said. He said the grenade hit a tree and bounced back toward the perimeter fence before exploding.
