Cypress Semiconductor Cuts Estimate for Quarter

Integrated circuits and memory products maker Cypress Semiconductor Corp. said its second-quarter results will be lower than it had estimated.

The company said it expects second-quarter revenue of $175 million to $185 million, compared with earlier forecasts of $200 million to $210 million. Cypress said earnings should be from break-even to 2 cents a share. Analysts were expecting a 2-cent profit. Revenue was expected to come in at about $201 million.

Cypress shares fell 27 cents to $21.87 on the NYSE.
