Bloomberg News

Apple Computer Inc. settled a lawsuit with Future Power, a computer maker that was building Windows-based personal computers that looked like Apple’s colorful iMac.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Future Power said it agreed to comply with a court injunction that prevents it from selling a 15-inch all-in-one computer with a translucent cover until Feb. 1, 2004. The two companies agreed that closely held Future Power may sell a newly designed 17-inch personal computer with a colored plastic cover.

Shares of Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple rose 28 cents to close at $20.94 on Nasdaq.
