Another terrific Los Olivos Cuvee from Bob Lindquist, the Santa Maria Valley’s genie of Rhone-style varieties. It’s 59% Syrah with 27% Mourvedre and 14% Grenache from grapes grown at Ibarra-Young and Stolpman vineyards. The scent is sweet raspberries and fat ripe cherries, the taste spicy and lush; it drinks like a summer-weight Rhone. Wheel out the barbecue!
