Brea. Cruisin’ Brea, part II. Second of four consecutive Sunday auto events in downtown Brea. Irvine. VW Classic 2001. 17th year for this all-Volkswagen car show and swap meet, with more than 1,000 vehicles and hundreds of vendors. Riverside. Pontiacs in the Park car show and swap meet. Open to all Pontiacs and sponsored by the Inland Empire GTO Club. Show benefits Ronald McDonald House; spectators are asked to donate canned food. Simi Valley. Classics, Rods and Custom Car Show--and chili cook-off. Annual show sponsored by the St. Rose parish Knights of Columbus features nearly 100 vehicles, free entertainment and lots of chili. General admission is $3 ($1 for seniors, handicapped persons and children 6-12). Chili is 50 cents per sample. St. Rose church and school, 1305 Royal Ave. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (805) 522-7587.

Torrance. ‘Vette Set car show. Annual event, open to vintage Corvettes, classic Chevrolets and Chevy muscle cars, draws about 100 entries. Day-of-event registration for show cars, $20; free general admission.
