Law to Require Notice of Pesticide Use Proposed
A proposed law would force residents to tell their neighbors when they use chemicals to wipe out bugs or weeds.
Mayor Larry Robinson introduced a proposal to require property owners to give 48 hours’ notice before spraying pesticides and herbicides. The proposal would affect all residential and commercial property owners, who would be required to provide written notice to neighbors within 150 feet.
The notices must specify the chemical and the time of application and include a toll-free number for information about the chemical.
