Norwegian Bouncer, 91, Says She Can Be Strict

From Times Wire Reports

The new bouncer at the Skjenkestuen pub in Stavanger, Norway, may lack brawn, but she's got plenty of experience.

"I can be pretty strict if I have to," 91-year-old great-grandmother Marta Aurenes told a local newspaper.

Stavanger has begun imposing a rule that all bars and pubs must have bouncers on the weekends to prevent trouble. The off-the-beaten-path Skjenkestuen has had no trouble in 15 years, so the owner offered the job to his oldest regular as a mild protest.
