Re “Most 9th-Graders Fail High School Exit Exam,” June 8: Maybe I’m missing something here. A ninth-grader is just beginning high school. Wouldn’t you test seniors to determine whether or not they should be allowed to graduate? Perhaps we should be testing the people who think up these tests.
