Sheriff’s Deputies Ratify New Contract

Santa Cruz County’s 100 sheriff’s deputies ratified a contract that will give them an immediate 13% salary hike and 4% increases over the next four years.
Operating Engineers Local No. 3 spokesman Don Dietrich said the weekend vote approved a deal reached Thursday by county and union negotiators.
Supervisors are slated to vote on the contract today.
