Anaheim. Forty Ford Day. 25th anniversary of the annual show sponsored by '40s Limited of Orange County. More than 200 cars, mostly stock and custom 1940 Fords. La Palma Park, 1151 N. Anaheim Blvd. 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Free spectator admission. (714) 968-6440.

Irwindale. The 19th annual Automotive Literature Faire. Sponsored by the Southern California chapter of the Society of Automotive Historians. No cars, but a cornucopia of books, magazines, advertising materials, repair manuals, sales brochures and other printed material covering motor sports and thousands of classic and collectible vehicles. Irwindale Speedway, 13300 Live Oak Ave., just off the 605 Freeway. 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free general admission. (714) 229-9100.

Lakewood. Summer Stampede Car Show. More than 300 pre-1975 show cars, hot rods, classics and custom motorcycles of all vintages. Sponsored by the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce; includes food, entertainment and vendors. Mayfair Park, 5720 Clark Ave. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show-car registration the day of the event is $20. Yucaipa. All Chrysler car and truck show and swap meet (formerly Mopars in May). Sponsored by Inland Mopars car club. More than 100 Chrysler Corp. cars and trucks, plus food and vendors.
