Irwindale. The 19th annual Automotive Literature Faire. Sponsored by the Southern California chapter of the Society of Automotive Historians. No cars, but a cornucopia of books, magazines, advertising materials, repair manuals, sales brochures and other printed material covering motor sports and thousands of classic and collectible vehicles. Lakewood. Summer Stampede Car Show. More than 300 pre-1975 show cars, hot rods, classics and custom motorcycles of all vintages. Sponsored by the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce; includes food, entertainment and vendors. Mayfair Park, 5720 Clark Ave. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show-car registration the day of the event is $20.
