Supervisors OK Contract for El Toro Management
From Times staff reports
County supervisors this week approved a one-year contract with Cabaco Inc. to continue the firm’s management of the closed El Toro Marine base, but with separate contracts for maintenance and operations.
The company will continue its $3.8-million contract to provide maintenance at the base through June 2002, including management of the golf course, RV storage area and stables. When that contract expires, the county will seek bids to operate those programs and the officers club, which will eventually be reopened.
