City Cited in Lawsuit Over Nondisclosure
Orange County has sued Laguna Woods, alleging the new city improperly changed its General Plan, which could affect land use, noise and other issues at the nearby El Toro Marine base.
The lawsuit, filed in Orange County Superior Court on Monday, alleges that Laguna Woods changed the plan but did not provide the county with a copy of the document, though it was requested.
“The City Council was fully aware of the plans of [the county] to convert MCAS El Toro to a commercial airport,” the lawsuit states. Laguna Woods officials were not available for comment.
