Mary J. Blige is working with producer Dr. Dre on “Family Affair,” the planned first single from Blige’s upcoming “No More Drama” album, due from MCA Records on Aug. 21. The album will also feature production from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and Missy Elliot, while Lenny Kravitz contributed a guest guitar part. . . .

For its fifth album, “Wake Up and Smell the Coffee,” the Cranberries re-teamed with producer Stephen Street, who did the Irish group’s first two (and most successful) albums. It’s due Oct. 23 from MCA. . . .

After hits with the groups Guy and Blackstreet (as well as by producing numerous other artists), Teddy Riley is set for his first solo album release. Titled “BlackRock” and due in November, it kicks off a new deal with Virgin Records. Meanwhile, Riley’s been producing tracks for Michael Jackson’s upcoming album. . . .

Blondie’s ‘70s and ‘80s album catalog will be reissued in September, with digital remastering and bonus tracks on each album. Among the latter, the “Eat to the Beat” disc will feature a live version of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” with guest Robert Fripp reprising his guitar part from the original.
