Girl, 2, Dies After Being Found in Pool
A 2-year-old girl died after being found at the bottom of a pool during a birthday party, police said.
The toddler, whose name was not released, was missing about five minutes when she was found in the gated pool about 7 p.m. Saturday, Lt. Greg Boyd said.
Adults at the party began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
“Every year or two we have a drowning death of a child,” Boyd said. “You can’t turn your eyes away for a second.”
On June 16, a 4-year-old boy drowned in a pool while attending a birthday party for the son of rock musician Tommy Lee at his Malibu home.
