Bergen Brunswig Signs 5-Year Deal With Big A

Drug wholesaler Bergen Brunswig Corp. in Orange said it has signed a five-year contract with Big A Drug Stores Inc. that is expected to add $80 million in annual sales.

Bergen said the agreement expands on a previous contract with South Gate-based Big A. Bergen will provide drugs and other over-the-counter products to 22 stores in California, including 15 Drug Emporium stores recently acquired by Big A.

Shares of Bergen rose 19 cents to $20.39 on the New York Stock Exchange.
