Man Convicted in Attack on Wife, Stepdaughter
A Littlerock man was convicted Tuesday of attempted murder and assault for shooting his wife and stepdaughter in a murder-suicide attempt.
Louis Hunter Jr., 40, faces multiple life terms for the June 2000 incident in Palmdale, in which he also turned the gun on himself, prosecutors said. Hunter was upset over a pending divorce, Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Sherwood said.
Dotty Hunter, 35, was left deaf in one ear, while her 16-year-old daughter is paralyzed on one side of her face and uses a walker, Sherwood said.
Hunter’s wounds were superficial.
