War-Torn Memories

I completely disagree with the statements made in the two June 21 letters regarding the World War II memorial. By now, 56 years after World War II, I think it is time to move on and stop condemning a German firm, in name only, for whatever construction projects it managed in WWII.
I was an infantry rifleman in WWII, was wounded in Normandy by a German sharpshooter and fought across Europe. I bear no hatred. If they want to blame anyone, blame Hitler. After all, we are driving Toyotas and Volkswagens made by companies whose origins date back to WWII.
