Daughter Testifies Against Mother
Her family lived in a house without running water, with little or no heat and intermittent electricity, Erina McGuckin testified at a hearing in Sandpoint to determine whether her mother will be tried for felony child neglect.
McGuckin, 19, testified against her mother, JoAnn McGuckin, who sat just a few feet away.
JoAnn McGuckin, 46, has been in jail since her arrest May 29. The arrest led to a five-day standoff by the six other children.
“It was unsanitary. It was squalid,” Erina McGuckin said of her family’s rural home.
