Raining Data Corp., Irvine maker of Web-enabled software, narrowed its fourth-quarter loss to $2.5 million, or 16 cents a share, from $3.5 million, or 36 cents a share, a year earlier, as revenue more than quadrupled to $6 million.

* Irvine copier manufacturer Toshiba America Business Solutions said it has acquired a Massachusetts office equipment dealer, Offtech. Financial terms were not disclosed. Offtech, with six offices in New England, has 350 employees and annual revenue of $45 million, Toshiba said.

* Greg O’Neill was promoted to executive vice president and general manager at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc. and named to the Cypress company’s board of directors. O’Neill, who spent most of his 17 years in the business at General Motors Corp., has been at Mitsubishi for the past three years.

* J.R. Woodhull, former chief executive of Logicon Inc., has been appointed to the board of Emergent Information Technologies Inc. in Newport Beach.

* ICX Electronics Inc. in San Clemente has named Guy Hayden as vice president of business development. He had been vice president of operations and quality at PartMiner in Atlanta.
