The Lake Forest manufacturer of specialty health care products said net income for the first fiscal quarter totaled $6.3 million, or 43 cents a share, 43% higher than the $4.4 million, or 31 cents a share, posted a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 rose 21% to $48.9 million.
