California Community Bancshares Names New President and CEO

* California Community Bancshares Inc., holding company of the Bank of Orange County, among others, has named financial services expert Anat Bird president and chief executive. Bird also will be appointed to the board. She has been head of Wells Fargo Bank’s Northern California region since 1997.

* Land developer and property manager Tejon Ranch Co. has named real estate and government relations executive Joseph Drew vice president for commercial and industrial development. Also joining the company as vice president for property management and ranch operations is Jeffrey H. Warren, who worked for the company in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Separately, the company announced that Matt Echeverria, a 23-year Tejon Ranch veteran and its senior vice president in charge of livestock operations, retired as part of Tejon’s planned divestiture of that business. He has formed Echeverria Cattle Co. and entered into a long-term grazing lease for 55,000 acres of Tejon Ranch property north of Los Angeles.

* Long Beach-based Earth Tech, a water management and engineering and transportation services firm, has named Nuria Fernandez senior vice president of its global transportation division. She previously was acting administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, an office of the Department of Transportation.
