So, headhunting is a “savage practice” and a “barbaric custom” that we thought was safely relegated to the past more than 100 years ago. Meanwhile, back at the box office, Anthony Hopkins cuts open a man’s head and feeds him a slice of his own brain. “It’s only a movie,” Alfred Hitchcock once said. And Borneo is a savage, barbaric land, far, far away.
