The institutionalized bullying and torturing of women and the wanton destruction of Afghanistan’s art and antiquities by Taliban forces acting in the name of God provide a perfect lesson in why Americans should never bow to the will of religious zealots.
Inhumanity in the name of anybody’s God cannot be tolerated in a society that respects human rights.
