Holography

Share

Holograms are three-dimensional images built out of light. The theory of holography was developed in 1948 by Dennis Gabor, who coined the term hologram from the Greek words holos, meaning “whole,” and gramma, meaning “message”. Holography only became a reality with the development of the laser in the 1960s.
