A Drudge match? Conservative cyber-gossip Matt Drudge has moved from L.A. to some luxury digs near Miami Beach, where he has already felt the sting of one of his new neighbors--a man-of-war jellyfish. “I was skinny-dipping in the ocean one night,” he told the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, “and one of those things got me on the behind.”

Small consolation, however for the stinging the Democrats believe they suffered in Florida in November.

“A suit between two beer makers?” he asked. “No. Jay Stroh is the director of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The suit affirmed the department’s rule prohibiting sweepstakes.”

TARA, TARA, TARA: Alan Karpel writes that he and his wife have a collection of “Gone with the Wind” translations “from all the countries we have visited. . . . We traveled to Atlanta, hoping to see the Tara plantation. Much to our chagrin, in the ‘Road to Tara’ museum, there was the picture of Tara and its location was in the San Fernando Valley. Is the home still standing?”

My sources tell me that the Tara movie set was in Culver City. It was dismantled years ago and shipped to Atlanta but never reassembled.

I do believe, however, that E.T.’s earthly destination was a house in Tujunga.

FUMBLE: That Oakland pro football team’s talk that it might want to move back to Southern California is obviously on people’s minds (if not on their nerves). I heard a radio reporter make a reference to “L.A. Raider, uh, Mayor Richard Riordan.”
