More Proof That Women Are Treated Unfairly

Share

The world is, indeed, unfair to women, as Susan Straight so succinctly and lucidly elucidates in her thought-provoking review of Ann Crittenden’s book, “The Price of Motherhood” (“Workplace Disparity Is Home-Grown,” Feb. 15). In fact, we are exhorted in the same issue of Southern California Living to “surrender to the fact that life isn’t fair”--a cruel irony highlighted by the Chivas Regal ad on the back page. And rendered doubly cruel by the suggestion that the attractive woman in the ad seems more than at peace with the status quo.
