Ariel Sharon
When your March 8 article discussed Ariel Sharon’s leading a retaliation against Jordan after an Israeli woman was killed, you failed to mention that this was not an isolated incident, but one of many. When the Jordanians controlled eastern Jerusalem, snipers routinely fired on Israelis in western Jerusalem and conducted other attacks. Your article paints an overly negative view of Sharon; he is willing to make a reasonable peace, but Arafat and his cronies are not.
