Power Rebates
* I voted for Gov. Gray Davis. He has come up with another illogical rebate idea (March 14). He wants to give 20% rebates to those who cut their summer electricity usage by 20% [from the amount used last summer]. This plan rewards only the recklessly wasteful, because if, last summer, you were so frugal that cutting back even as much as 5% is close to impossible, you get zilch.
Does this reasoning provide anyone with ideas about how to plan for any future, and inevitable, water shortage?
