Education Tax Plan
* Re “Education Tax Plan Advances in Senate,” March 14: Shame on the Democrats! Apparently these wimps don’t understand that the majority of American voters voted against the Bush/GOP plans to fund religious institutions with public funds and give most of the tax breaks to the rich.
The latest disgrace is the Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee joining the radical Republicans to approve tax deductions for parents sending children to religious schools. There goes the greatest American innovation in world history, the public school system, and all in just a few months after a so-called “Democratic Party victory” in the Senate election. Bah, humbug!
