Cargo Carrier Back on Space Shuttle
From Times Wire Reports
Discovery’s astronauts pulled a trash-filled cargo carrier off the international space station and placed it back aboard the shuttle for a late-night departure.
The carrier came off easily. But the process leading to its removal dragged on for five hours longer than planned because of problems.
Andrew Thomas, the shuttle crane operator, was relieved when he finally had the carrier latched down in Discovery’s payload bay for return to Earth.
