Arthur Mortell

* I was disheartened not only by your endorsement of Cindy Miscikowski for City Council in District 11 but your claim that she has only token opposition (editorial, March 16). I’ve met Arthur Mortell, heard him speak on the issues I care about, and I am stunned by your put-down. He has a well-run and professional campaign funded by actual voters, rather than special interests, developers, water purveyors and lobbyists. He speaks passionately and articulately about the issues, particularly about Miscikowski’s special-interest campaign funding, her vote to expand the Sunshine Canyon dump and her inattention to the DWP’s toilet-to-tap program.

I feel you have done him and the voters a disservice by discounting his campaign.
