MAI Systems Posts Fourth-Quarter Profit

MAI Systems Corp., an Irvine provider of information systems, reported a fourth-quarter profit of $575,000, or 5 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $5.3 million, or 49 cents a share, for the 1999 fourth quarter. Revenue declined 29% to $8.9 million. For the year, net income totaled $817,000, or 7 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $10.8 million, or 99 cents a share, the previous year. Revenue was down 33% to $37.6 million.
