From Times Wire Reports

The head of Russia’s tax police called off a trip to the United States because of the expulsion of Russian diplomats from America over a spy scandal, while other officials kept up criticism of the U.S. move.

Vyacheslav Soltaganov had been invited by FBI Director Louis J. Freeh to visit Washington from Friday until April 8 and had been scheduled to meet with Freeh to exchange information about their two agencies.

The United States declared four Russian diplomats persona non grata last week and gave them 10 days to leave. They told 46 others to leave by July 1.
