Two alleged members of the Nazi Lowriders gang were arrested after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies seized 73 firearms in a raid, authorities said Friday.

Arrested Thursday were Scott Kuhn, 29, and Marcello Castellano, 22, according to Sheriff’s Deputy Margarita Velazquez of the department’s headquarters unit.

Search warrants were served simultaneously at three locations--in the 42000 block of Challenger Way, the 1700 block of Mesa Drive and the 8200 block of West Avenue C4, authorities said.

The weapons included assault rifles, two of which were fully automatic, three inert hand grenades with components to activate them, body armor, a silencer and a sheriff’s uniform and handgun, Velazquez said.

Deputies also found Nazi flags and paraphernalia containing swastikas among the weapons.

Authorities were trying to determine Friday how the men obtained the uniform and handgun, she said.

Kuhn was arrested for investigation of possession of illegal firearms and explosives. He was being held at the Lancaster sheriff’s station in lieu of $500,000 bail. Castellano was being held without bail for investigation of possession of narcotics and violation of parole.
