Monarch Beach Links Get Funds for Upgrade

Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point has picked up $20 million in financing to upgrade and redesign the course as part of the 400-room St. Regis Monarch Beach Hotel and Resort.

Sonnenblick-Eichner Co. in Los Angeles, which arranged construction financing for the $250-million hotel earlier this year, said in a press release that it also has arranged the golf course financing.

The course improvements include a clubhouse, pro shop, indoor dining facilities and an outdoor patio deck, Sonnenblick said.
