Leonard Grant, 67, Hollywood agent for such stars as Ann-Margret, Liberace and Burt Bacharach. Among his recent success stories was Bryan Cranston of the TV show “Malcolm in the Middle,” whose career he had guided for 21 years. A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Grant attended City College of New York and served with the Army in Japan. He began his career producing commercials, and a children’s television show. He came to Los Angeles in the 1950s as co-producer of the stage show “Big Time Buck White.” He began managing artists during the heyday of folk music, with Bud & Travis and the Travelers Three. Grant was one of the original owners of West Hollywood’s Studio One and created the nightclub the Back Lot. He later opened the Scandals in Hollywood nightclub and produced shows in Las Vegas and fund-raisers for the Thalians in Los Angeles. On Friday in Hancock Park of complications from lung surgery.
