FBI Corrupt, Says Indicted Democrat
Rep. James A. Traficant Jr., an Ohio Democrat indicted last week by a federal grand jury, accused U.S. Department of Justice and FBI officers of corruption and said he would discuss the matter when he hosts a radio talk show later this month in his congressional district.
“I will defend myself,” said Traficant, 59, who is charged with bribery, racketeering, obstruction of justice and tax violations.
A federal grand jury in Cleveland returned a 10-count indictment against Traficant on Friday, charging him with “a pattern of racketeering.”
