What Are You Drinking?

“A ’98 Elderton Shiraz. It’s an Australian Shiraz. I had it at a function in the Midwest. It’s clearly a kind of standout wine. I was quite impressed. It reminded me of some of the better Santa Barbara Shirazes. It had really nice juicy, ripe berry-like flavors, and a real sort of juicy, almost sweet round texture. It was very drinkable, very supple, a rich delicious sort of wine.”
