Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, the twin sons of the late rock music icon Rick Nelson, will perform Friday night in Agoura Hills. The Nelson Brothers will perform their own brand of acoustic rockabilly, as well as a musical tribute to their father in support of “Legacy,” a four-CD boxed set of his hits, plus rarities and unreleased tracks.

Blues

Alligator Records artist Rusty Zinn will perform Friday night in Sherman Oaks. The Oakland-based singer-guitarist blends elements of 1940s-style West Coast swing with 1950s Chicago blues. Downbeat magazine has praised Zinn’s guitar work, calling it sharp and assertive.

Baroque Music

The Harmonia Baroque Players will perform Sunday in Pasadena. The program, “Images of Melancholy and Mirth,” will feature pieces by Handel, Vivaldi, Purcell and others. Sunday’s performers will be Marika Frankl on recorder, Richard Glenn on lute and guitar, Barbara King on harpsichord, Paul Sherman on baroque oboe and soprano Maurita Phillips-Thornburgh.

Disney Tribute

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library presents “Walt Disney--The Man and His Magic,” opening Sunday at the Simi Valley venue. Including rare items from the Walt Disney Family Foundation, the Disney family and the Walt Disney Co., the exhibit provides a rare look at Disney as an unassuming Midwestern American dreamer with an unbounded creative spirit. Among the artifacts displayed will be Disney’s elementary school desk, the prototype for his Autopia vehicle, the Snow White Oscar and its miniatures representing the Seven Dwarfs, and Disney’s Presidential Medal of Freedom.
