The Cal State Long Beach Economic Forecast Project will issue a report today predicting that Southern California’s economic expansion this year will outpace growth nationally. But the school’s forecasters anticipate that the region’s job growth will slow to 2.2% this year, down from 2.9% in 2000. . . .
