NetZero Blames Soft Advertising for Loss
Associated Press
NetZero Inc. said operating losses widened to $33.6 million, or 29 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter, from $22.2 million, or 24 cents, a year ago, blaming a soft advertising market. Revenue fell 24% to $12.8 million. The Westlake Village-based company, known mostly for its free Internet access, said it is encouraged by demand for the fee-based service it announced six weeks ago.
