In the Orange League:

Anaheim 20, Valencia 14--Visiting Anaheim scored 12 runs in the first inning and withstood a Valencia rally to claim a share of the Orange League title.

The Colonists (16-10, 9-5), who last won a league title in 1989, sent 18 batters to the plate in the first inning and scored 12 times before Valencia recorded an out. The barrage was capped on a grand slam by Ricky Sauceda, who finished four for four with five runs scored and four RBIs.

Valencia came back to score 10 runs in the bottom of the first.

Anaheim scored three times in the second to make it 15-10, and Anaheim reliever Steven Salazar, who replaced starter Ramiro Gonzalez with two outs in the first, went the final 6 1/3 innings.

Anaheim shares the Orange League championship with Savanna, a 7-5 winner over Magnolia.
