A Tech Lover’s Dream

Built by a former dentist with a fascination for high-tech gadgetry, this four-level, newly built Malibu house has ocean views from nearly every room and a swimming pool on the roof.

About this house: Henry A. Brown, a dentist for 31 years, grew up in the building industry. “You could have a complete computer network system throughout the house,” he said. “Twelve computers on the Internet, all at the same time.” The house has video distribution “so you can watch videos on all of the TVs as well as cable and satellite.” It also has a sophisticated security system.

A stickler for detail, Brown built a wine cellar with no glue in its construction, “so purists won’t detect a [glue] odor.” He included a whirlpool bath in the master suite that has “an in-line heater, so the water won’t get cold.”
