7 Activists Arrested for Halting Logging

Seven activists were arrested Monday for blocking a logging crew’s access to the Mattole River watershed west of Scotia, according to Earth First! spokesman Josh Brown.
That brings the total arrests to 27 since Pacific Lumber Co. resumed operations last week in the 3,000 acres of old-growth Douglas fir.
