3 More O.C. Schools Win National Blue Ribbons
Three Los Alamitos Unified schools are among eight countywide that have won National Blue Ribbon awards, a prestigious distinction bestowed by the U.S. Department of Education.
The three are Hopkinson Elementary, Los Alamitos Elementary and Richard Henry Lee Elementary. The five other Orange County campuses are Our Lady Queen of Angels in Newport Beach and the Pegasus School in Huntington Beach, both private schools, Harbor View Elementary in Newport-Mesa Unified, Malcom Elementary in Capistrano Unified and Montevideo Elementary in Saddleback Unified.
Forty-three California schools were among 264 nationwide honored by the Department of Education.
