Prevent the Violence

Re “A Boy’s Face, a Man’s Crime,” editorial, May 18: The issue isn’t what we should do with violent teenagers. It should be how we can prevent them from becoming violent in the first place. Kids need our respect and love. A kid who believes he is respected doesn’t have to prove it by carrying a gun.
