St. James Apartments Buys Units

St. James Apartments LLC bought the 298-unit St. James Apartments at 1710 N. Fuller Ave. in Los Angeles for $36 million from GTS Property. Shane Astani of Lambert Smith Hampton represented the buyer and the seller.

The law firm Katten Muchin Zavis signed a nine-year, $20-million sublease for 52,058 square feet of office space at 2029 Century Park E. in Century City. The sublandlord, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, was represented by Mike Catalano of Julien J. Studley Inc. The subtenant was represented by Bob Zelken of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Newport Beach-based Olen Properties acquired the 157,499-square-foot Kilroy Technology Center at 184-220 Technology Drive in the Irvine Spectrum from Kilroy Realty for $19 million. Voit Commercial brokers Mike Bouma, Robert Mitchell, Alan Pekarcik and Tim Walker represented the buyer and the seller.

GMS Realty sold the 67,046-square-foot La Quinta Village shopping center at Calle Tampico and Washington Street in La Quinta to the Sperling Family Trust for $12.9 million. Donald J. MacLellan of Faris Lee Investments represented the buyer. GMS Realty represented itself.

Aslan Realty Group of Newport Beach bought the 151-unit Meadow Pines apartment complex at 1309 W. Mission Blvd. in Ontario for nearly $11.5 million from F&F; Partners of Sausalito. Douglas Froehlke of Marcus & Millichap represented the buyer and the seller.

Cook-Inlet Energy Supply signed a 10-year, $11-million sublease for 23,883 square feet of office space at 10100 Santa Monica Blvd. in Century City. Jeff Cowan of Julien J. Studley Inc. represented the tenant. The sublandlord, the law firm of Loeb & Loeb, was represented by Howard D. Sadowsky, also of Studley.

Tissurama & Green Orange Design Inc., a textile manufacturer, signed a five-year, $3-million lease for 129,050 square feet of industrial space at 2800, 2850, 2860, 2890 and 2900 Sierra Pine Ave. in the Western Distribution Center in Vernon. The tenant and the landlord, Westcore Industrial Properties, represented themselves.
